Restorative Justice Outcomes
2013
16 Restorative Justice cases were successfully completed between January and June of 2013. Of those 16 youth, two juveniles had committed a felony or misdemeanor within 12 months after completing Restorative Justice programming.
This amounts to a 12.5% recidivism rate, well below the usual coming out of the juvenile justice system.
2013/14
Of the 12 juveniles who successfully completed an RJ intervention between July 2013 and June 2014, 9 had no further misdemeanors or felony offenses, 2 had misdemeanor theft charges and 1 had a misdemeanor traffic/driving without a license within 1 year.
